Advanced Command-Line Parameters


INTRODUCTION

The follow command-line tool parameters provide advanced functionality in creating web roles and choosing specific PHP resources to be included during packaging.

PARAMETERS

Command-line parameters that specifically deal with configuring and providing resources for preparing a package for Windows Azure deployment.

Parameter Type Definition Values Default
--defaultDoc, -c Optional Defines the Web Role's default document within file Web.config within the created WebRole directory. By default, if user provide PHP sources does not provide a Web.config file, the the tool will add one into the WebRole director with its default document value set to index.php . String: file name index.php
--webroleInstances, -i Optional Defines the number of WebRole Deployment Instances to be deployed within local Development Fabric and remote Windows Azure Cloud. This action modifies file ServiceConfiguration.cscfg within the created Service directory. Integer: 1 or greater 1
--package, -p Switch Creates project's package for deployment to Dev Fabric, without doing a new build. When using this parameter, it requires using parameters --project (-n) and if used *--target (-t). The intent of this parameter is to allow developers to modify the contents within WebRole directory, and then package project without doing a new build.
--deploy, -d Switch Deploys to DevFabric built project's package to Dev Fabric, without doing a new build or packaging. When using this parameter, it requires using parameters --project (-n) and if used *--target (-t). The intent of this parameter is to perform deployment of current packaging, without the tool performing a new build or packaging.
--xdrive, -x Optional Defines, as an example, a single X-Drive to be mounted
--worker-role, -w Optional This is the local path to your Worker role PHP application. Valid path to a folder which contain PHP application.
--worker-role-startup-script, -b Optional This is the local path to your Worker role start up script under your worker role application. Valid path to a PHP file under worker role application.
--scheduled-task-duration, -q Optional This is the time duration after which the Worker role start up script will be invoked(hh:mm:ss). Valid time duration.
--hosted-web-core, -e Optional This is the local path to your PHP web-application that you wish to deploy via the Hosted Web Core. Valid path to a folder which contain PHP application.
